Environment
It is expected today that businesses manage their impact upon the environment, and practice sustainable methods of production. The following provides some information on how growers can do this; however, production nurseries are reminded that the industry has its own dedicated and tailored environmental management program EcoHort. Building on from the NIASA program EcoHort provides guidance to nursery growers on how to assess and manage their environmental impact in areas such as water management, chemical use, waste management, energy use and air and noise pollution amongst other themes.
